Yeah, I know, not everyone gets excited about pictures of gardens. What can I say? I'm easily amused!

We made these 2 raised beds and are growing some really delicious veggies this year!

Eating lots of salads!

This is butternut squash, collard greens and beets (L to R):

This bed has green beans at each end, then lots of salad lettuces and greens in the middle. The green beans will be trained to an arch that covers the whole bed to shade the greens.

Not really into gardens myself but if you like gardening that's great.

Wabbit twouble?

I see the chicken wire guarding your precious veggies!
I raised a garden last year..It's tough in the hardpan soil..
But I'm working it, getting some compost worked in. I just got a Troy-Built Tiller, the rear-tine kind..Really breaks up the dirt.

I gave it a rest this year,no garden so far.
But I may put in some late summer greens.

Nice work, especially for a desert dweller like you!

Thanks guys.

We made raised beds and then put them in the yard with the dogs, thinking the dogs would keep the rabbits away. Well they do, but the dogs thought these were swell digging beds just for them!
Fortunately I hadn't planted yet. So we rigged up some covers. They're pretty cool. We love salad and so we're set!

Yeah, the dirt here is clay. Good for pottery, not so much for gardens.
