Bush: fool me once, shame on you

I remember watching this footage of Bush giving a speech, when he came up with a saying from Tennessee I think, and he said "fool me once......" break "shame on you"
I sensed there was some hidden meaning behind this saying that I don't quite understand, does anyone else? It seems like a riddle of some sort, so is anyone familiar with that saying?

The original saying goes "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me".

But Bush, the morrron he is, said it all wrong.

He said "Fool me once...shame on... you.. Fool me... fool me twice i cant get fooled again".

Dont think theres no secret meaning in this nor it is a riddle. Most proably; Bush brain just didnt like all that blow a few years back.

I wouldn't read into it too much, there are far more cryptic things that come out of that man's mouth and even those are probably just a result of his bumbling lack of public speaking skills. He even used it to his advantage in the last election portraying himself in a more humble "common man" light.
