This is my rant. I must warn anyone who reads this, but it's slightly biased because I'm dissatisfied with the moron in office.

Since September 11, 2001, George W. Bush has managed to convince most of the country that the Middle East is the largest breeding ground of terrorism anywhere. The first target was Afghanistan, followed by Iraq. The plans were laid out for a second war in Iraq before Bush was even appointed as president (I say appointed because he LOST the #ing election by a half million votes or so). Word online is that the CIA is doing something in Venezuela (OPEC nation), and that Saddam Husein and Osama Bin Laden are showing up in Saudi Arabia (oil producing nation). Bush proposed an energy plan that included drilling in the Alaskan preserve, where there is oil, but drilling is forbidden, that met heavy opposition. Now, if AxBxC=X, where A=Afghanistan, B=Iraq, and C=failed energy plan, what does X equal? Possibly another "terrorist" strike on U.S. soil, sending troops off to another country which is oil-rich. Another little tidbit--search the ATS board for Iraq Auction, there's a decent post and probably a link to an offsite article, about the country of Iraq being auctioned off. Apparently, the U.S. owns the Iraqi oil, which when this war was started, we were told the oil industry would be used to rebuild Iraq after "Shock and Awe" bombing was done. To this day, all that's been done is more shooting, and the setting up of cell phone towers. Now a person in Iraq can get a national calling plan, but most likely can't get a hot meal. And in all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if Bush declared war on Alaska next, simply because the oil is there and the Senate won't let him have it.

Umm, no. You need to research a bit more on this. Everything but the natural resources is up for investment by citizens/companies.

I never stated that the natural resources were for sale to investment companies. In my disclaimer I clearly stated my rant was very biased, and my opinion is the U.S. has commandeered the oil supply in Iraq.

Because of an executive order Bush recently signed, the U.S. actually owns EVERY bit of Iraq.
