for some reason this being a jet contrail just doesnt seem plausible

Just look at the damn thing.

It's some fiery thing burning up/falling down to the ground from the sky, leaving a smoke trail behind it as it burns and falls.

A contrail? Gimme a break.

Know what sucks the most! I live very close to where this pic was taken and i missed it!
