One day I was checking out a few baseball stadiums with Google Earth that I'd love to see a game in when I came across Yankee Stadium. The Google Earth image shows a game that is letting out.

In the image you can see the ushers standing on the field to ensure that enthusiastic fans don't try to run onto the field after the game. You can see people exiting the stadium and parking lot. The amount of traffic in the general area suggests to me that it is not a weekday. Most weekend day games are on Sundays.

So....I have narrowed it down to a Sunday day game. What I'm wondering is.....is there other evidence in the image that could pinpoint a specific day or year that the photo was taken?

If I lived in NY I would be familiar enough with shadow lengths that I could probably narrow it down to a certain month. For those who enjoy unique puzzles, solving problems & doing Sherlock Holmes types of things, this is a fun one.

I only hope that I'm posting this in the right place....

P.S. I was going to mention what team I am a fan of, but since this is a puzzle I'll throw that puzzle in too...to figure out my favorite ball team.

Looking at the gardens in Kilmer Park and the foliage on the trees I gonna guess the date to be around two weeks in the middle of April. The flower beds don't look like they've been planted, but the trees have leaves and the grass is a lush green.

The copyright from the four layers say 2006, but I suspect they are from 2004 because of the WTC site further south.

I think I saw a picture recently and the site looked different. (not sure though)

That's my guess.........

Anxiety,

That sounds like good investigating on the Month. I have never been there so I have no way of knowing. I have a question on the year though...is the WTC site actually in the same image as the stadium?

Google is so good at overlaying the images that it is difficult to find where one image ends and another begins. I've seen places where the only way I could tell was because the shadows of buildings would fall one way on one side of the street and another way on the other side of the street.

I'd like to see this image of Yankee Stadium analyzed to the point of knowing exactly what day it was, who they played and what the final score was.
