I see sometimes a tread with some offtopic tags hanging from it...
Is there a system that checks that?

Hello sebastiaan, there is no automatic check as far as I'm aware but if members see something they consider inappropiate you can use the suggestion tab (remembering to include details and perhaps a link) and send an alert to staff whereupon we will review it.
