MRO picture anomalie

Well here goes my first effort.
I noticed an anomalie on the first picture from the MRO.
It appears above and slightly right of the boxed portion on the photo.
Has any one else noticed the unusual crater shape and shadow ?

Found the thread for the picture from the MRO.
Check out the crater obove the box and slightly of centre to the right.
Now magnify and what do you see?

Well, if your talking about the rather smallish crater above the box, I would say that it resembles a baseball stadium. But I seriously doubt that there is a Martian Baseball League.

OK so if it is not a Baseball field what is it and what is it doing on Mars?
Has this picture been airbrushed?
Or has the MRO site version been altered beceause the so called baseball field even has shadow.

Your answer is in your post. "check out the crater above the box".

It's a crater. Craters have shadows, not just ball diamonds, or whatever you think it is.

As you can see the crater is not diamond-shaped at all, but rather, just another normal-looking crater.

The distortion was, most likely caused by the graphics algorithm used to resize the image.

I find those 3 large craters to the left of the ridge have some interesting features, almost like they were made by intelligent beings.
One of them has a line that runs right through it, and inside that same one it has two identicle structures.
Just find them curious.

I understand your thoughts but tell me would a distorting algorithm input shadows as well?
If so would this also explain the other possible structure with corresponding shadow just to the top right of the boxed section ?

I'd also, upon further inspection, would like to also mention that the crater with the line going through it, with the two identicle structures also has more pairs of structures in its center.
To me it looks like ancient pictogram tablets.
The top line looks like kneeling men, the bottom line looks like lizard men.

First off, I didn't say that a distorting algorithm was used. I said:

I know of two techniques used to resize images, the first method is scaling the image: Say we have a 200x200 pixel grayscale image and we want to make it 100x100 pixels. Using the scaling technique, every other pixel in the 200x200 image is simply thrown away, leaving empty spaces, the remaining pixels are then squished together to form a 100x100 image.

The second method is called re-sampling: Imagine that we have the same 200x200 pixel grayscale image that we want to make it 100x100 pixels. Using the re-sampling method, the image is first split up into a grid of 100 cells that are two pixels high and two pixels wide. For each cell in the image, the grayscale values of the pixels in each of the cells are averaged. Then the image is scaled down using the scaling technique mentioned above.

Neither one of the methods adds anything to the image. In fact, information is lost using both techniques. However, when an image is simply scaled, but not re-sampled, the resulting image can end up looking blocky. I believe this is the case with the image you posted, it was scaled but not re-sampled.

The only thing I see to the top right of the box is another crater. Please review the high-res image.
