Not too long ago, I was inspired by the thread, "Africa the Prison Continent". Reading it was long and rather interesting, especially with the political situations going on. What I would like to know if there are any Africans (or other people who have been there) who are willing to speak about their country and the continent in general.

These are the questions I would like to ask:

1)What are positive things to say about Africa and Africans?

2)Why is there so much genocide amongst its peoples?

3)What are some positive things that are going on to help the situation in Africa?

4)What does the future hold for Africa and Africans, in general?

5)How deeply entrenched is the colonialist system within Africa?

Those are the questions on my mind. I would welcome any comments. And I would certanly hope that we can have a fruitful discussion in which we all can be educated more about Africa past the misconceptions and the stereotypes.

2)Why is there so much genocide amongst its peoples?

During the post war period Political rather then tribal boundries were formed.
Now when we look at a map we see a bunch of countries that only exist on paper.

4)What does the future hold for Africa and Africans, in general?

It arent looking pretty. AIDS , corrupation and tribal wars.

5)How deeply entrenched is the colonialist system within Africa?
