Honesly,
I had never heard of David Blaine before this recent stunt he tried (but failed to complete). That, I guess the one which started this discussion.
Personally, I thought that it seemed a little wierd, and not a whole lot of fun to stay underwater for a week or however long (how did he go to the
bathroom, anyway?) Just wondering. Then try to beat the worlds record off holding one's breath (currently 8.58 seconds).
I mean, sure, everyone wants to beat a world record at something, at some time. But why all the underwater stuff first? I wondered.
So, I Googled him out of curiousity. Apparently, the man is a multi-millionaire. He makes big bucks from the publicity of his stunts. So, yes, he
has never claimes to be a true magician, as far as I have read. He has only claimed to be an illusionist. But, if the guy makes sh*tloads of money
doing what he does, gotta hand it to him, don't you think?
Then again, he might be just an illusionist, but who's to say that there is no such thng as real magic?
