US Govt not reporting casualties

Apparently the US Govt has taken to not reporting all the casualties that come in for some unexplained reason:

This death had to be reported by the Marines family because the US military failed to report it even though the death seemingly occured on Tuesday, it is now Friday..in other cases where the families fail to report the death does the death simply go unnoticed? Apparently so, a previous pentagon report showed that actual deaths of US military personal in Iraq was actualy higher than the AP or icasualties count.
