Actually the Earth used to be really calm...before the Great Flood. The Earth used to be really flat...jungle-like with the waters of the Earth
beneath the land except for small seas. No rain...just kind of foggy and misty...dinosaurs...man...and all animals walked upon it...then Noah took
what he could into the ark and God released the waters. This is what caused the Earth to change...even the atmosphere changed but not by much. You
ever wonder why oceans...mountains...volcanoes...and even the moon aren't mentioned in the Old Testament or anywhere else for that matter?
Well...because they didn't exist until after the Great Flood. When the waters were released...it also included releasing chunks of earth and water
into outer space...forming meteors (earth chunks)...and comets (frozen water chunks)...also the Moon was formed from this in order to control the now
needed tides of the oceans.
Hrmm...let's get scientific for a moment...think about this.
To determine an age for the carbon sample, a systems formula was designed to account for the biological influences of oxygen, moisture, temperature,
and the media's (soil) reactivity. These variables are measured by soil texture, depth below the soil surface, the site specific mean annual
temperature and rainfall, and the soil pH. Residual influences on this system are included through a statistically derived constant.
Okay now...this is all based upon TODAY'S scientific method...right? Let's go back a couple thousand years to before the Great Flood...to when
oxygen, moisture, temperature, and the soils reactivity would have been different than today. Hope I'm not getting too much off topic
here...but...here it goes. Nah...here's a great website to straighten it all out for you
www.creationscience.com...
Anyhoo...back to the main topic...the Earth is a very violent place...and always changing. We must take care of it and respect it...God wants us
too...He made it and the heavens for all of us who live here.
