A seven-year-old boy has become the youngest person ever to swim from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco.
Braxton Bilbrey, joined by his coach and two other adults, completed the chilly 2.25-kilometre swim in 47 minutes on Monday.
Greeted by reporters and his father, the second-grader summed up his adventure as "pretty cool."
"He did great," Bilbrey's father, Steve, told reporters. "He looked so strong. He did so awesome. I'm so proud of him."
