Hey Guys,

Does anyone want to comment on the fact that a bunch of cross-dressing demon worshippers won the Eurovision? I find it slightly..."convenient"...if thats the right word, that considering theres alot of conspiracies out there linking Satanism to New World Order. I was wondering whats your take on this.

As Lordi said himself, it's pure entertainment. Confer "Elm Street" or any of the recent trashy movies (Jason X etc)

Lordi was awesome.

Now if any of those eurodance idiots had won...

Oh i agree totaly with you. After listening to them i've started listening to them big time. But how did Europe get brain washed (like me) into loving them, considering that they do dress like Demons and the lead singer looks pretty much like Satan...?

Because the visuallisation of demons and satan is different to every person, I just found it a laugh that it went from blond foreign bimbos to a Finnish rock group who kind of looked like Slipknot

Because they make good music that lots of people like? No brainwashing needed. He's not Britney Spears.

Hey look i am English and i know we are supposed to go for our own countries, but when i saw lordie i knew they would win. They won becuase it was a great act, great entertainment plain and simple. I actually wanted them to win becuase they blew everyone else away.

If hell exists and satan looks like that then i have to say that i do not fear hell lmao. If hell exists i am willing to bet it's a tad scarier than that.

I think they won because it was a refreshing change to crap music sold on sex (not that I have a problem with that).

If you've started listening to them bigtime you'll know they are the FInnish version of Kiss and they have a song called " The devil is a loser"

Please - no one brainwashed you into listening to them. You're just listening to them because they won Eurovision and got some press. Lets face it they were great. Utterly hysterical.

If Lithuania had won with " We are the winners" would you be saying you'd been brainwashed too?

And just for the record can you point me to SOMEWHERE that details that Lordi are anything other than a band with a gimmick and some klingon masks and are in fact " Devil Worshippers"?

Really you want to talk about brainwashing? How come for the past week I've been running around with that freakin' Monaco song " Coco Dance" in my head?????? It's enough to make anyone suicidal.

I actually do have a problem with that lol. People like britney spears dont' make good music, i like music but kids buy this rubbish becuase of the images and so everywhere you go your are bombarded with this, well i can't swear here so i will stop.

Anyway you are right agent smith, i mean half those eurovision acts i can't remember, but you will always remember that one lol.

"cross-dressing demon-worshippers" ??

Are you serious?!.......... Have you never heard of Glam Rock? It was clearly a bit of fun, and well-done on them for winning, they did have one of the best songs on the night, and certainly the best performance -- Although it's a shame that Silvia Night didn't qualify because her song and performance was equally as fun and tongue in cheek.

Err...

The Eurovision in many Nation's can be voted on by the public. They phone in and it is given as a percentage of who is voted for. Due to Metal/Alternative music being the second highest selling music at this time [urban being the highest], the logic monkey dictates that the public would like them.

It was different, it was interesting and people like this. It was also a very rock song, not to hard hitting which gives it mass appeal. There's no great conspiracy in this.

However, I do wonder why Israel are in the Eurovision song contested. Last I checked they were in the Middle East. [South East Asia].

You gotta be kidding. Lordi is like a GWAR revival! Its like the first time I have seen anyone on Eurovision that wasn't some lame assed disco/pop crap. My opinion was, wow, Europe might actually be getting off this sickening techno/dance crazy they have been stuck in since the early 90's and be actually putting out good music.

Of course I am a metal fan and hate pop/happy bouncy music anyway.

They were friggin great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eurovision is so rigged

you can just feel it, its a pointless political entertainment fest that just sucks, and how on earth is Israel a part of Europe?

arhhh!

Hmm, Eurovision is pretty much a voting game with neighbouring countries voting on how good political relations are with each other!

Israel may not quite be European in Geography, but they have a ton of demographic and ancestral connections with Europe.

Which is why, I think, they are allowed in.

You don't have to be a part of the Europe to qualify for Eurovision:

Eligible participants include Active Members (as opposed to Associate Members) of the European Broadcasting Union. Active members are those whose states fall within the European Broadcasting Area, or otherwise those who are members of the Council of Europe.

The European Broadcasting Area is defined by the International Telecommunication Union:
The "European Broadcasting Area" is bounded on the west by the western boundary of Region 1, on the east by the meridian 40° East of Greenwich and on the south by the parallel 30° North so as to include the western part of the USSR, the northern part of Saudi Arabia and that part of those countries bordering the Mediterranean within these limits. In addition, Iraq, Jordan and that part of the territory of Turkey lying outside the above limits are included in the European Broadcasting Area.

Wiki

So there you have it.

It wasn't so much about brainwash as it was something about someone FINALLY doing something different than the old 1 singer, 3-4 backup singer/dancer, and poor choreography.

I thought the show was a joke... even more than last year. When they start putting in bands that are weird for the sake of being weird it just goes to #. What the...... was going on with that Spanish guy!? O_o

Anyways, don't think it's a conspiracy, just people yearning for something new.

You couldn't be more right
Was the same thing last year. Look at what countries gives what countries 12 points. Almost always someone close to their way of living or mentallity.
