Hey guys. please chill for a moment. After two years of reading zanzibars post i do not for an instant belive he would post a false claim like this..

How many of you guys would camp out in the woods trying to capture an anomally on film on the word of a third party..

He tried. He failed.. SOOOO WHAT??

If you saw first hand that an alien was living in your local woods and you did the same..How would you feel if you came back empty handed and your ''Community' for two years shot you down as fast as this.???

Even though he came back empty handed, at least he tried.The majority of the people on our small planet do not seem to care about ufo's or anything similar.Most of us single minded people are to busy with our own simple lives wich is why we are progressing so slowly in finding answers.I mean try to tell at work that u believe in ufo's and u will get laughed at.
We are living in the breeding ground for conspiracies and cover ups right now and we have only ourselves to blame.

Zanzibar dont give up and always keep yur camera within handsreach, at least i will for as long as i am breathing.

If I had a suitable stake out point, the transportation and gear...hell I'd be camped out searching the skies myself.

I think a great part of being curious and learning is to embark on adventures that may turn up nothing. The fear of coming away empty handed personally, I believe is why so much of the UFO phenom remains a mystery. Those who have borne witness to multiple sightings, or occurances might not be willing to embark on a fact finding adventure.

I hope you go out again and again and post everything that does or does not happen. At the very least you're out enjoying the scenery and *wink* wildlife!

If we all sit in our houses glued to our computers, who knows what we're missing in the great outdoors?

Thankfully someone with some time and interest took the challenge and posted honestly about finding nothing.

If he'd come back with a great story of aliens and rapture...would we have bought it?

OK I'm pushing my luck here. Theres a slim chance that your cousin seeing lights thru the woods was related to this. The 21st May saw the homecoming of Dee Caffari from the round-the-world challenge into Ocean Village, Southampton. Assuming that they had searchlights at that evenings celebrations (which is highly likely), the organizers could have been having a dummy run, so to speak, with the searchlights.

The New Forest is relatively close-by, couple of miles at it's nearest to Ocean Village. For those who don't know the area, the New Forest is roughly in the red border........



So, a lot of IF's, but if your cousin is close enough and if they were testing searchlights, this may explain things. Then again.....

Okay then guys, cheers for the support and everything, I'll give it another go, though I have some theories of what the lights might be:

1. Cadets- I was one once and we did ops in the woods, but not in the same place all the time.

2. Chavs- yeah I know, stupid, but they do seem to get everywhere.


We can rule out hunting because it's England and there's nothing any good to hunt, also you just don't see many people wandering around with weapons here.

I like the searchlights one, that seems rational.

Of course, it could be aliens, that would be kinda cool as well!


I'm stuck in the middle of exams at the moment so I can't go this weekend, next weekend is the end of exams so I'll be, well.........you can guess. The weekend after that seems okay though.

I like the idea that it was "chavs" and their fake bling creating all the light.

As for "spotters", are you talking about those jeeps with the spotlights on it? I think that's only used in Australia. Possibly Africa. And maybe rednecks. More specifically, only in movies about Australia, which show poachers catching kangaroos .

Jeeps would be another good one, but I guess they could be heard pretty easily.

Lucky we don't get any hicks here, just dirty, dirty chavos.

If people want to find something strange in the wilderness you need search parties, cameras, guns, tents/trailers. If it is one thing I know it is that while combing wilderness you never split up and search alone. If you are searching for an animal you do not use vehicles. I beleive that if you really want to find something and you know something is in the wilderness you need to go deep inside and stay there possibly for years.

1: Vehicles are not an option because they are loud and can be heard at far distances.

2: Incase of an encounter it is best to search with two or more men/women.

3: Do not use spot lights use infrared or other types of visual aides that allow a man to see in the dark as light is quite visable and can be seen.

4: Do not leave the area and penetrate deeper everyday camping out for long periods of time. Also use motion sensors and cameras that will take photo/video when the motion sensors are tripped.

5: Know survival techniques and gain knowledge of vegitation and animal life just in case you get lost carry appropriate supplies and camping gear.

Using spot lights and jeeps will get you know where even wild animals are smart enough to avoid these. Do everything on foot and carry a GPS and radio to stay in contact with other teams.

in response to zanzibars claim that " there is nothing to hunt in england so it could not be hunters " i have prepared this thread : apes lamping thread

and as a general response to the problems of no pictures and poor reports of strange activity , i wrote this thread : accurate reporting

this sounds like so much fun, id really love to go UFO hunting

but as far as i know no ufo's or weird stuff has ever been spotted in Milton Keynes or the surrounding area.

well apart from the one time people thought this shop's triangle shaped roof was a ufo & the supposed giant cat that lives in the town.
