One of the more interesting revelations in the recently re-discovered "Gospel of Judas" was that Jesus had a pet dog named "Yedysh." The text doesn't go into a lot of detail, but the dog was apparently a peke-a-poo, mostly white but with a large black spot on its nose. Jesus taught it to do some tricks, including begging and rolling over. And when the Roman soldiers came to get Jesus, Yedysh bit one of them on the ear. Also, it was Yedysh who told Mary Magdalene to go to the tomb to find Jesus not there. It just goes to show you how you think you know your Bible stories until you research them a little.

Dog similar to "Yedysh," Jesus's dog as described in the Gospel of Judas

Or accept someone's fictional account of what happened back in the day as fact.

Peekapoos are great dogs, though. Just never had one say anything but "arf" to me.

Well, of course, he didn't actually use words, but it was more like a lot of yapping and "follow me" movements. Like Lassie.

Yedysh: Arf, arf, arf. Arf, arf. ARF!

Mary: What's wrong Yedysh? Did Timmy fall in the well again?

How about Grizzley Addams? He talked to all sorts of animals. Was he in the lost Judas book too?

so you can believe that he was the offspring of a deity, but not that he had a puppy?

That's a good one.

I personally can't wait to read the Gospel of Judas.
Can you tell me what book you are reading Enkidu? There have been several books about this Gospel released recently and I haven't decided exactly which one I'll get yet.
