according to this Forbes magazine report naming him one of the world's wealthiest rulers, the article says he's number seven out of the top ten. The magazine estimated Castro's personal wealth to be $900 million WOW!! no wonder those cuban cigars cost so much

anyway he's calling the report "rubbish" i just wonder what he would have to lose by admitting his wealth??

He'd have his dignity to lose if he didn't deny facts published about him in an American magazine!

lol, probably true . . .

I'll tell you what he has to lose- Those people in that island live like they are in the dark ages, no food, no transportation, no NOTHING. Nada.

He would stand to lose his life. Its all stolen.

The only thing he ever did for anyone was a health program. That's it. Like that makes up for the hunger there.

That miserable bastard.

There's someone who needs to be taken out.

Here's another link from ATS about this new Forbes list and Castro:
Forbes says Castro's fortune is worth 900 million dollars.

This happened last year as well. And he denied it last year as well.

I am sure every bit of it will be going to his bro, Raul Castro, since his ex-wife and daughters despise him.
Raul is set to take over for him. Just like Jeb is.

He is exactly 79 years old.

Same as my mother. I know because my mother curses him quite often and always mentions the fact they are both the same age.

thank's....that's hilarious about your mother she's the same age and all, but why does your mother curse him?? i mean i know he's bad and all but is their more to it. did she like, live there or something like that (just wondering) anyway i dont understand how he can amass such a huge fortune from such poor people, he must take everything they produce for himself and then some

My entire family is both from Cuba and Spain. We left (by air) when i was a little one. My mother was stripped of her diamond wedding rings at the airport during their little search. My father lost his business and home to Fidel. Giving him our posessions was the only way we could leave.

No wonder i'm traumatized.

The report has to be taken with a grain of salt as referenced at the end of the article.

Yes, but it has been widely reported for years. We studied some of this when I was in High School in the mid-80's, and Castro had been in power for about 30 years at that time.

He got rich on the sweat of his own people. I have no proof where he made his money but you could probaly find him with some links to some real bad guys in Columbia (sniff - sniff) . Maybe not though. But you know for 79 he's still kicking. He'll probably outlive most of us in this forum.
