I know it is an overused question, but, silent education

Is there any way to have silent education, or learning things without having to read something or watch something or do something? Something like, I know that this doesn't work but, playing educational material while you sleep.

You can't taste the water if you don't take the cup in your hand and direct it to your lips.

In other words, there is no proven educational method that does not involved effort on the part of the learner.

Most education comes not from the texts themselves, but rather the process of finding the right books for you, the right method in studying and the right discernement in reading.
