Guerrilla Warfare !

I wonder if Guerrilla Warfare is much bether than Military Warfare.
My opinion, yes it is much bether.
In afghanistan, WW2 greek, Vietnam, South America etc.

In a Company they have 2 follow orders, and when you do that you cant say against the orders.

A Guerilla group follows nothing, just trying attack and kill the objekt.

THis is only what i think.

Feel free 2 say what you think.

It cant be the weapones, they use old classic AK47, a real Guerrilla Warfare
weapone. Just old Russian made models.

Those against AI weapone.

i'd say it depends, in an occupied country or for a rebellion, yes it's a good option, but for defence or attack it's rubbish.

In invading another country it's BS and you don't have all the offensive capabilities against the opponent.

Yep, that's right. I agree with you guys, urmomma158 and pieman.

It's the tactic of choice when you are sure you have absolutely no chance of overpowering the enemy; IE Afghanistan.

good tactics for people that fight occupation

there small numbers and their enemy is a larger number
they can hide blend in and so forth

"querilla" operations are allso very effective in support of a conventional defence, the ability to have units operating behind enemy lines for prolonged times gives an amry a capability to severly slow down a mechanized force without commiting air assets to battle. (blowing up fuel convoys is more effective than destroing the tanks to whom the fuel is going)

Guerrilla warfare is not just random, although it is not as conventional as other ground tactics, there is still a tactical order to it. This is the same type of combat that SpecOp teams utilize. It is one of the best forms of combat, but at the same time it is also illogical at other times. I prefer this style of combat......you are wrong on thinking that it is chaotic though.....it might seem chaotic to those forces being attacked by guerrilla forces, but to the contrary it is a very intricate process, very surgical, and everyone has a specific job to do.

Modern guerillas employ modern tools. If Chez Guevera had posessed cell phones, he would have used them. The days of total technical superiority on the part of an organized army are over. As electronics become cheaper, you will see them being used more and more by even the poorest of rebels.

Standing armies have always had a hard time with rebels. they don't think like rebels. This chore often falls to special task units. Ifanythin,g we should be looking for an evolution in the modern army that will allow them better odds against rebels.

a successful guerilla warfare cannot be anarchy, in fact usually the space for errors is much narrower so that the planning has to be very careful and discipline good, as you most of times cannot rely on large numbers, firepower and reinforcements.

A quick study of guerilla activity in the 20th century reveals that most insurgent actions involved 20 members or less. As technology has improved, the numbers invovled in a single hit and run mission are now down to about 6-13.

And, the goal of guerilla warfare is not to win, but to antagonize, to disrupt, to create panic, inflict pain, and usually for revenge of seeing your own family and friends killed by the occupying forces.
