No confirmed casualities or cause. Past history in Nigeria could indicate that it was caused by oil thieves or maybe something else.

Curious to see what oil prices do. This country is way to unstable.

LAGOS, Nigeria (CNN) -- Between 150 and 200 people died on Friday in an oil pipeline explosion on the outskirts of the Nigerian city of Lagos, the Lagos state commissioner of police said.

Vandals are thought to have caused the explosion; all of them were killed, the commissioner said.

"You can see the corpses. Some are burned to ash. Others are remnants ... We estimate 150 to 200 people died," the police commissioner told Reuters news agency.

Great: Another reason to hike prices $20 dollars a barrel...

Its funny, the other day they had a surprise surplus of 300,000 barrels, on a day they estimated originally to have a 600,000 barrel deficiency. A 900,000 swing in the positive, and just because one oil executive was shot the prices ROSE for the entire nation!!

I cannot imagine what this will do...

And you know what? The oil companies are rolling in this money, they are getting all of it.

At which point do we start to question the sources for these explosions and murders? People get killed for $20 in the streets, is it so hard to imagine these explosions and murders aren’t paid for by the oil companies who get BILLIONS and BILLIONS in exchange for the turbulence they cause?

Not at all...
