I can't wait for the PS3 it may cost around £320 but i'm willing to pay that much, killzone, MG4, vision GT,UT2007 etc these games are gonna own any other available on release. Xbox2 sucks, well it will by the end of the year and as for the wii, well i take one every day, nothing special.

I'll be getting a PS3 as soon as possible, although that may involve selling not only my grandmother, but her house, her sisters and several of my own limbs.

If I can bare to look at my wallet a year later, I'll probbaly get a Wii, despite the name. They look like they have got some amazing games coming out, even without the "next gen" graphics, it still looks like an excellent console.

Xbox 360? I don't like Halo, what would be the point?

LOL I hear you man, i would happily live in a dos house with nothing more than a matress and the TV i need for that piece of kit. The Wii is truely revolutionary but i dont think i could buy one for the simple reason that when i get home from the pub or where ever on the weekend i like to sit back and play a computer game. I dont think i could trust myself after a few too many pints to be doing my star wars kid impression in the living room. I can see a lot of people getting hurt thanks to that console.

Definately, and not just physicaly hurt either, a lot of egos are going to be crushed by the sight of a grown man waving a stick around to try and make the funny man with the moustache jump

But the PS3, games like Eight Days, MGS4, Tekken 6, VF 5, Heavenly Sword....it's going to be one expensive, but worth it, beast of a machine.

It's not that I can't afford it, but I'm just not willing to pay that much when I got my PS2 for $150 upon release. I'll wait a couple of years at least as I see no reason to replace my PS2 yet.

A couple months ago, I would have definately said I would be getting a PS3. But now, I'm seriously thinking of investing in buying a Wii. I mean, it just looks so fun. The whole "Wii-mote" design really intrigues me, and the fact that it's backward compatible with Gamecube games and you can download old Nintendo games is great.

But I'll end up getting a PS3 eventually, seeing as how I'm a rabid MGS fan. And it'll be pretty cool to see how my PSP will be a controller for the PS3.

Either way, I need to work a little more if I want to buy either of them, haha.

OH Yes, Snakes back, it'll be interesting to see how he copes against those walking tanks with a his bad hip.

At E3 this year they showed a driving game for the PS3 where the PSP was used as the controller and the screen was the rear view mirror.

No XBox takers so far, it seems the people on this site have taste. lol

I got the 360. It's an awesome system and I love Xbox Live Arcade. Ps3 got Final Fantasy so I gotta get that one too, but I think theyre (Sony) running low on the originality department. And of course Wii looks awesome, so I'm getting that one too. Personally I think it's stupid to wait a whole year if not more just so it can drop 100$ in price. I'm sure you's play more than 100$ worth of working time during that year anyway. Also, I hate the console war crap, no console is owning the other, allthough I state again that Sony needs to come up with new stuff soon. Regardless, FFXIII will be awesome so I don't care

I'm going with Wii, but not until Super Smash Brothers Brawl is released. THat way I can ensure at least a small price drop on the system, and I'll play the only game I really want for the system. Every other game they release is gravy. Plus I really like the possibilities that come with a gyroscopic sensor in the controller.

I dont think SSBB supports that feature actually.

I don't see how it could. I'm more interested in the function in the Twilight Princess, and future applications.

Definitly getting a PS3. I was like looking at all the specs, but i dont even care about the price. Its going to be a beast, and with all the stuff you get with it its actually a better deal than X360. Viva la playstation!

OH yeah and UT is going to rock the house

I forgot about UT2007 its going to be amazing, i envy the poeple with a high end PC (£2000+ setup) becuase that game is going to be so much crisper than it ever could on the next gen consoles.

I'll probably get the Nintendo Wii. I've had every Nintendo console since the very first one. I like the idea of being able to play the Gamecube games on the Wii.

i can easily afford a ps3. the problem is i just don't want to. there's no way in hell i'm going for the ps3: watered down version, and blowing 600 bucks on a console that i only want to play games on seems a little nuts, at least for me.
so as it stands, the wii is my first choice of the next gen consoles, followed by the 360. i'm not going to pick up the ps3 at launch, but probably some time in about two years when/if it gets a price drop...or two..
or three..

even so, all three of 'em would be pretty sweet

My only concern is wether I can control the temptation, in the last couple of generations of consoles there have been many issues with the early releases. So i would hold back about 6 months at least just to avoid all the hassle and disappointment.

www.macworld.com...

Another Xbox enthusiast site, Teamxbox.com, began polling users to see if their machines were working properly the day the Xbox 360 shipped. Nearly 15 percent of the 915 who voted in a poll reported that their consoles were defective.

I had the following problem with two PS2's. The first close to realease and the second a few years after.

www.gamingworldx.com...

The defective part of some of the earlier PS2s that causes these “Disc Read Errors” is the laser that reads the disc. Some of Sony’s first PS2s were made with lasers that “die out” much quickly then a disc laser normally should. Thus, as you play your PS2, for the first few months it seems fine. But if you have a defective system, the laser would soon start to get weak, and eventually would become so weak that it does not emit enough light to even read a disc correctly.

www.dvhardware.net...

Microsoft announced it will replace 14.1 million Xbox power cords for free, as the company discovered that an amount of Xbox consoles has a flaw which could cause component failures and in worst case fire.

I know i said earlier i would live in a slum with a mattress and a TV to play the PS2 on, but i can't bare the thought of dealing with the technical support staff. They're about as helpful as this guy >

well, i'm definitely going to get a ps3, it's just a matter of when. i'd also like to get a REVOLUTION (i refuse to acknowledge that silly-ass name) at some point as well.

Huh, what's wrong with the name?

Won't everyone be looking forward to waving their Wii in front of the TV? I know I've always wanted to!

For me, the Nintendo Wii was the highlight of the E3 show. Honestly, the games look breathtaking and well worth it. The PS3 is by far the best breadbin in E3. It's gonna cost a bomb, and the games are gonna be too expensive. The Wii however, is gonna be dead cheap, and it's gonna rock the ass and balls of the gaming world. With games such as Red Steel, the new Mario game, Zelda, and Warioware, the ultimate party game, it's gonna be awesome. LOL, even Sony are trying to copy the handheld controller that Nintendo has! Can't say I blame them, it looks incredible, and the mind boggles in what you can actually do with it. You can even flip it to make a controller! Helping solving some of the issues it might have playing retro games.
Perhaps it's the most untapped market really. The retro market I mean. You can get NES games, SNES games and even my favorite retro console games, The Turbografix PC CD Engine. I think this could be Nintendo's year. Sony have had to cut their graphics' card three times now, because it's been too expensive. Though there is one game that is coming out for the PS3 which makes me think twice.
NO, not that Metal Gear game. I'm thinking Virtua Fighter 5.
