The Next 9/11 - Golden Gate Bridge

Greetings all, I just want to tell of a very vivid dream that I had the other day. It was about a "9/11" type of event and it really sadden me

The attack concerned San Francisco, the Golden Gate bridge.

I have to go now but I'll explain the details later.

Any thoughts, opinions, questions?

At the end, the Golden Gate bridge actually collapsed, killing a lot of people ...

Yup thats scary, And wierdly i have had an odd feeling about that,


I just hope that nothing comes of it,

But write down every thing that comes to mind, you never know what info may be help within it,

Well in my dream, the Golden Gate bridge had smoke coming out, it was very vivid but in scenes (only parts) ... also, people were trapped in the middle somehow and the gate began to get weak ... at the end of my dream, the giant bridge collapsed, sending dozens if not hundreds of people to their deaths ...

When I woke up, I thought: "How could this happen?"

I don't know ... but I was thinking about this a lot lately ...

How can something like this be carried out anyways? Bombs would have to be planted under the bridges, right? I mean, that bridge is huge and massive ... very strong, but as I woke up, my mind came rushing to one conclusion: buses.

Could the next terrorist attack be hijacking large passenger buses and turning them into very strong types of car-bombs (with the help of pre-planted bombs under the bridge) so that it may collapse? I'm just thinking out loud here ...

Any other thoughts?

Interesting dream. I am not sure what would be needed for such an attack to work, but I guess your idea with the busses, combined with bombs planted on the right spots could actually cause the damage you saw in your dream. Also, this with the busses reminds me a lot of the planes that hit the WTC and it would be amazingly ironic if something like that REALLY happened. Either way, I think that it's not so likely with the increased security at important spots like that lately.

My Dream

Alright, well ... I'll try to explain what I saw, even though I don't get it also.

My dream starts during the day and it seems to be sometime around the afternoon, cars are passing by like always from both sides and I have a "feeling" that something is about to happen. In my dream, I'm in an aerial view of the whole thing as I'm watching, so then out of nowhere, the beautiful scene of the Golden Gate bridge is cut and goes to another scene. The next scene shows the Golden Gate bridge with smoke and when I mean smoke, I don't mean a little smoke, parts of the Golden Gate bridge are on fire and burning, but how could that happen?

Anyways, most of the smoke is coming from the support beams (?) of the bridge, from under the sides of it, and from some cars in the middle that are also on fire. There are parts of cars on the bridge (don't know why) and then the scene is cut. The next scene takes me to, what I believe, is later during the day. The last two scenes of my dream seem to tell me that the Golden Gate bridge kind of buckled/tilted, gradually started going down, and then at the last minute it finally collapsed unto itself. Dozens/hundreds of people trapped in the middle fall to their deaths as the bridge hits the water explosively. I'm telling ya, it's a horrible sight to see ...

Then I woke up and several thoughts were rushing through my mind, I was asking myself questions like, "How could this happen?" - "When could this happen?" - "What would they use?" - my mind sort of whispered out: buses. I was sort of confused and scared at the same time but I figured it was just me saying that to myself. Transportation buses? I mean, I've seen a lot of security lately with airports and highways ... could this really happen? What type of security is put into buses? Could three people hijack a bus with ease, put high-explosives in it, and turn them into deadly car-bombs? What kind of damage would that do to the bridge? Yeah, thinking out loud here again, hope somebody out there is listening.

I hope this event NEVER happens - God bless you all.

If it were to happen, it would take a lot of explosive to bring down those massive supports, or weaken them. If they were weakened, they would eventually go down I suppose.

Yeah, that's why I said it could be car-bombs, or explosive devices put under the bridges. Yet, with today's harsh security, it doesn't seem possible. I don't know, but I hope this doesn't happen ... if it does happen, this thread will sure get a whole lot of fame. I don't know why I had this dream but the vivid creation of the images I saw made me want to cry but yet, I'm now wondering the possibility of a terrorist attack on any bridge ...

If only I could have seen more ...

I really think they will target the bridges. Anyone else have any other thoughts or opinions on this?

You'd better hope this doesn't happen. Not only do we not want another disaster here, but what do you think will happen if it becomes known that you "knew" about some disaster like this before it happened?

I think you should proceed with extreme caution.

I don't want to be all alarmist, and maybe and I being overly cautious. I just would not post any precognitive dream of this magnitude while we live in the age of the "terror alert system" and the Patriot Act.

I joined ATS a while back but have been gone for some time. Have there been any other members who have done this sort of thing and are still around? Are there any precedents?

I know, I don't want it to happen. As for it coming down that I knew, I didn't know, it was a dream! If indeed it does happen, then why would they do something to me? I'm just some guy who posted a dream in a forum. I don't really think they would blame me for anything, I mean, what will they say? "This guy dreamed it - we have reason to believe that his dream and the terrorist group who did the attacks are connected somehow."

That would just be plain ridiculous and of course I would defend myself. There are several accounts of people (both members and non-related to ATS) that say they had "dreams" or "visions" of several disasters that were going to happen in the future. Many still debate whether they were "warned" about 9/11. So, if I've seen this, I don't know if it's true or not, but what is there to lose?

I don't think anyone would blame you for it or think you were involved. I just know that if it were me, I wouldn't want folks to see me being right about such things. Maybe once would be overlooked, I don't know.

I'm probably just paranoid.

Heh, I guess you're right. I told my mother about it and some of my friends, they think I'm just being paranoid, but hey, what can I say? I don't know if this is going to happen but if it does, I'm not going to be like, "I told you so!", I'll be like, "So it WAS true!".

I just wish with all my heart that this never does happen, I don't want anybody to die and then feel guilty that I somehow foresaw things and didn't do anything to stop it.
I mean, what can I do? I can't call the FBI and be like, "I just had a dream - the Golden Gate bridge is going to be attacked."

For me it's on page 7, but I don't see any connection to my dream and this "finding" of yours ... I mean, I went to the main chinese (is it?) page and it seems to be just a list of bridges around the world ... wild coincidence?

Now if I only knew a specific date ... ...

I could at least warn the FBI or somebody to watch out on the date, but I don't know when it will happen or if it even WILL happen. I just saw a trailer for the next Spiderman movie and it has the Golden Gate bridge collapsing ... ugh, I don't want to see it anymore.

I had a dream a few weeks ago that had a 9/11 feel to it. It was very vivid and all I could see was the Statue of Liberty. If I remember correctly there was a cessna that crashed. At first it was nothing but then a nuke/dirty bomb went off and the statue was engulfed in flames.

Wow, very odd dream. I'll probably freak out next time I cross over the Humber Bridge (Hull, England).

I think you saw the X-Men 3 trailer and subconciously picked up on the Golden Gate Bridge being blown up in that.

Well, I had the dream before I saw the trailer and it didn't collapse anything like that (according to my dream) ... it was kind of different, more explosive and not tilted.
I hope that this never does happen

But what can we do?

Do we wait for something like this to happen? Is the X-MEN movie really just spooky with it's Golden Gate bridge collapse scene? Or is it something more? Is it all leading up to another 9/11 type event that is NEEDED to REINFORCE and SUBSTITUTE without any doubt that "FREEDOM" that we all fight for.

Will it all come down to this? I hope not :shk:

I can understand why you're very stressed by this dream. However, there's not really much you can do to prevent it (if it does happen). If I were you, I would explain to your loved ones about this dream you had and tell them to stay clear of the bridge.
