For the people that have been keeping up with the news they must have noticed that Dick Chaney made critical comments against Putin and the Russain goverment.

Russia has replied back to america.

edition.cnn.com...

"Where is all this pathos about protecting human rights and democracy when it comes to the need to pursue their own interests?" said Putin, who also used a fairy-tale reference to criticize the aggressive U.S. course in global affairs.

"We are aware what is going on in the world," he said. "Comrade wolf knows whom to eat, it eats without listening and it's clearly not going to listen to anyone."

The second paragraph is in reference to americas behaviour around the world and americas unilaterial behaviour.

Putin Zings U.S. Back After Criticism

"Their house is their fortress — good for them," he said. "But that means that we also must make our house strong and reliable."

a refernce to strengthen Russians millitry becuase americas forces are powerfull as well.

Devoting much of the hourlong speech to defense, Putin stressed that Russia needs a strong military not only to guard against terrorism and attacks but also to resist political pressure from abroad, and said that Russia's military budget is 25 times lower than that of the United States.

"Their house is their fortress — good for them," he said. "But that means that we also must make our house strong and reliable."

and this quote is the quote that needs to be read carefully :

Putin said that the government would work to strengthen the nation's nuclear deterrent as well as conventional military forces without repeating the mistakes of the Cold War era, when a costly arms race against the United States drained Soviet resources.

Wow is anybody else concerned.

Dick Cheney should have kept his mouth shut.

Oh please .... DON'T be concerned ! lol

'Concern' is what they use and have ALWAYS used, to keep you in line and compliant.

Do you imagine for one second that they would permit their prostitute media to reveal ANYthing of actual importance?

The original 'Cold War' was invented to keep the sheepies in line. It was used to siphon billions of dollars OUT of the sheepies' pockets and INTO the well-stuffed pockets of the Usual Suspects. How do you imagine they became so obscenely rich?

And of course, the prostitute media and assorted Puppets who live in the pockets of the Ruling Elite, trotted out some Very Entertaining movies, books and articles about the alleged, highly dangerous, 'cold war'. Gee, Len Deighton and the these-days Lord Archer made a FORTUNE out of 'spy stories' based in the 'for public consumption 'cold war'. We were all convinced for years, weren't we, that the Forces for Good (the so-called West) were desperately engaged in a battle against the Forces for Evil (those nasty 'commies') ? We slept safely in our beds, secure in the knowledge that at that very moment, 'brave spies' were battling it out on icy Moscow streets, rofl.

Wakey Wakey Time. There IS NO ' THEM and Us ' !

There is ONLY THEM ( ALL of them) AGAINST us !

* WE * are the enemy of the ruling elite. And WE need to be kept in a constant state of fear and insecurity if THEY hope to milk our pockets today, tomorrow and next month.

The Ruling Elite gained their money and power through war. Through CREATING wars and SUPPLYING to the wars THEY created.

THEY need wars. Wars are their BUSINESS. Wars are their PRODUCT. As soon as one war has been exhausted, THEY create ANOTHER one.

To put it in perspective, recall those old police and detective tv shows and movies you've consumed. Remember the 'Good guy - Bad guy' ploy those 'canny detectives' used? Remember how one detective would pretend to befriend the suspect ... while the other detective pretended to be the 'hard' guy?

That's RIGHT ! The detectives were working in TANDEM !

Just like Putin and the US.

Uh huh. Riiiiiiiiiiight ! Now you're getting it. WE are the suckers in the middle, just like in those corny old movies. They are PLAYING us.

Meanwhile, just like the Good guy-Bad guy detective duos, Bush, Cheyney, Blair and Putin ARE ALL ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD BUDDIES .... they get together regularly for a game of golf before having a nice relaxing bar-b-que together at the Ranch, so they can discuss how their latest Phony Wars For Profit are going.

I too am concerned about the recent back and forth between Cheney and Putin. It appears that not only can this administration muck things up in Southwest Asia, not have a clue on how to deal with the Levant, foresake our very doorstep by neglecting to realize the rise of socialism in Central and South America (Mexico is next), but now...yes now, we can bring back the good ol' Cold War.

Thanks guys! Thanks a lot! Good Job!

The east is continuing to strengthen, and world is changing as we speak. So I guess we have to live with that. Let's hope this doesn't lead to anything serious.

The US is actally pressuring the east to gear up, they now have bases all arround former russian states and arround the middle east.
The US are up to something big and everyone knows it, everyone except for the majority of sheepies.
9-11 and ocupation of Iraq and soon Iran, isnt done only for oil and de dollar hegemony but ultimately for something much bigger.

The only thing im afraid of is that the US has gotten too powerful in regards to their secret projects (which will shock and awe big time everyone if they knew all they have) and now have the balls to face China and Russia without blinking.

Scary times are ahead....this will be the age of panic.

The thing that scares me is putin is ex-KGB. In the article he is quoted as saying "comrad" , a common reference to a fellow communist. I have also heard he is attempting to make the old soviet anthem the national anthem of russia(this was a few years ago).

It makes me thinks he wans to either remind people of the soviet days, or her wants a return to those ways.

I definately dont want to see another damn cold war!!!

It took good men to end the last one......I remember Reagan's "Mr. Gorbachev, Tear down this wall!"

This is a blatant attempt by Russia to kick start their economy, that's all it is. Putin wants another "cold war" because with that he can accomplish two very important things.

1) Get the people back in line (kick starting communism?)
2) Ensure that the country is economically viable

If I were the US, I would ignore this obvious attempt to bait us and let him fizzle out on his own, no "cold war" no need for new weapons, no civilian interest, no money.
