Two 18-year-old men have been charged with first-degree murder in Friday's shooting death of a police officer in Windsor, Ont.
Windsor police held a press conference Saturday afternoon and confirmed the two men, who were taken into custody soon after Const. John Atkinson was shot and killed, have been charged.
"I am confident that we have the two individuals who participated in his murder in custody," said Insp. Greg Renaud, lead investigator in the case.
Charged are Nikkolas Robert Brennan and Cody Clifford Defausses. The suspects appeared in court Saturday and were remanded. Police believe the two teens were the only people involved.
