Are aliens too busy living in computer games and virtual reality to bother and come visit us?

I thought it was an ignorant, stupid, psuedo-intellectual, wordy article. Absolutely zero insight at all. Just some pie in the sky writer sounding off about nothing in particular. Perhaps he should write James Blunt lyrics!

Exactly what I thought.

And just to prove him wrong, I offer myself as an example.

I play PC Games, alot, more than I ever watch the drivel that is on TV most of the time (Bar South Park and Star gate). Yet I still have a child and want more too..

How is my entertainment form any different than any other?

Seems to me that this writer has some issue's against gaming and other modern entertainment media and would prefer us all to be sat reading a book (probably the Bible) or us all going to MIT to be rocket scientists.

That example about MIT he used was stupid. Yes, students take design courses, as they do History, Art, Psychology etc. It is the students choice and the career they are interested in. Is that not real life? Not everyone wants to work for NASA and in the same vein, not everyone wants to work for EA either.

In short, the guy is a muppet, who himself is so far up his own backside that he is in his own "virtual reality".
