Exerpt:

The announcement, NASA hopes, will squash rumors that a fragment of the crumbling Comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 (SW 3) will slam into Earth just before Memorial Day.

“There are some Internet stories going around that there’s going to be an impact on May 25,” NASA spokesperson Grey Hautaluoma, told SPACE.com. “We just want to get the facts out.”

---

The internet storie they mention must be the one from Eric Julien.

He claims to have gotten a date due to telepathic messaging. This may 25th, 2006.

He mentions some facts, this being that the comet started breaking down right after the star wars program was launched.. remarkable?

Also that this close encounter with the comet is shown to us, by aliens?, symbolically, in a crop circle.

More info and pictures of crop cirlce and the route this comet travels on you find here

Will debris strike or not? Just hope Eric is wrong, and NASA right..... this time...

awww!...i wanted to see the planet blow up!!

seriously though, Eric Julien, with all the talk about aliens and star-warfare, it just kinda kills his credibility for me. not saying that the possibility doesn't exist, just that it doesn't seem very likely. on the other hand, the people at NASA, no matter how great the experts they are, are just as human as he is, and humans have been known to screw up their data sometimes...preeety bad.
i dunno. i'm gonna hold off on making any predictions for that time period.
i'd just prefer to wait and see for myself

Hi, well on some recent updates that I read, it now broke up into 3 dozen pieces, and they say May 4th, tomorrow we will start to see meteor showers!

As for anything hitting on the 25th, funny how the Bible code spoke of this also!
Confirmation or coincidence? We shall see...

All I know is, there sure is a lot that is brewing!

edit: I forgot to mention this is a comet that Nasa found which awhile ago had broken into two pieces, & a few days ago broke into 36 pieces! I'm looking for the article, if I find it, will post the link!
It's to be cloudy & overcast here tomorrow, here's hoping it clears up!

If it IS the will of God that this comet will hit, then let it be. I doubt Nasa can accurately predict everything that will happen, but this time the evidence points that May 25 will simply be another trivial non-eventful day that will pass us by...and then we will be waiting on yet another day. I don't think the claims of an unknown air-traffic controller and a simple bible code are sufficient to prove a collision though

I wouldnt trust NASA as far as i can throw them. They would never tell us the truth, specially if there is nothing they or anyone can do!

I guess we will just have to wait and see.

The NASA folks are just human and considering all the errors they
are capable of ... well, I'm just glad that there are independent
observatories around the world watching this as well. More than
one source for info on this is comforting.

New data on 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3-BD.

It feels like NASA's guessing when you read that the Nominal and Minimum distance vary from between 33.7 and 0.4 Lunar Distance(LD) Image if this piece is half-way between the Earth and Moon
That's quite a big difference, and at one point the minimum distance was 0.0000. The problem is that we don't have much data on the object's so it is hard to predict it's exact path.

Interesting audio here: Guy is speaking of Oral Robert's vision of America's last wake up call. It's an object that explodes in the sky over the United States. I've only listened to part of the first broadcast but it is interesting. Lots of talk about near earth objects.

Except that the SDI program, aka "Star Wars' began in 1984. The program has transformed a few times, and been renamed, but is now known as BMDO. Now, BMDO started in 1993. And this comet broke apart in 1995.

Also, BMDO isn't 'star wars'. It's only a ground based interceptor system. And even within SDI, which had some pretty far out concepts, there wasn't anything that could have destroyed a comet that was 5 million miles out into space.

Though, I suppose I should cavet that last with "to my knowledge'.

I just finished a quick read at :www.savelivesinmay.com...

The author hasn't claimed "starwars" tech was resp-onsable for the comet break up but an act from nefferious E.T.'s reacting to the deployment of said technology into earth orbit. He caims "Starwars" was never intended for a missle defense, but for planetary defense.
A.K.A. The angry E.T.'s are using "Mass Drivers" against us.

I don't want to perpetuate anything here as i'm not a doom and gloom person, but has anyone witnessed the meteor showers? I have witnessed small ones every night for the past four nights. I wasn't even aware of the comet until I read this thread. Wow. That's all I can say.

Edited for spelling

Where are you located? I wanna see meteor showers!!

As for a large meteor, or comet fragment, or whatever hitting us, if it is supposed to hit us during the next 36 hours or so, NASA would see it, ESPECIALLY if it is going to cause the destruction Julien described.

I was an avid poster on Julien's forum when it was up for about a week. He shut it down because it had "too many attacks" on his predictions. He is French... can you tell?

NASA would NOT tell the truth wether or not this collision is going to happen. It would create a Tsunami in the ocean which would create a 200 mile wave, and put parts of America underwater, but not destroy the world. Theres apparently some rumours going round about Bush(
what a tool) firing nukes at Iran ( because apparently they have nukes or are building them
) on the 25th of May aswell.

Rumors Rumors Rumors.... NASA is the only hard evidence we have to go by. Along with that, there are thousands of ameteur astronomers watching the skies... You think not one person connected to our so-called "crooked" government would see an imminent impact and alert the media?

You got a better chance of winning the lottery. 200 mile wave? I think you meant 200 meter, and with that being said, do you understand the size needed to wipe out the eastern seaboard of America?

HaliBop comet's closest approach was 1.315 AU. that is more than 100 million miles away. it was visible with the naked eye. I am pretty sure that if something sizable enough to cause that much destruction, we would see it.

See you all on Memorial Day.....

Mouth, I live in Kentucky. It's been a beautiful show around 10ish Central time. I think people are over reacting. But, the small light show is none the less just WOW! I'm glad that I know what's causing them now...that was the scary part...not knowing where it was coming from. One piece got very close to the woods behind my home two nights ago, and I saw it disintegrate right before it went out of view from the trees. Enjoy the show people! It's beautiful.

Until someone has fact, I'm bettin' my posterior aperture on NASA... it's not like one can "hide" or anything... and if NASA has "lied" it may not matter much! Enjoy the first and perhaps last day of the rest of our lives!

Enjoy what you can,

Victor K.
