Hi all

I could do with a little help finding out what speed my braodband is, Im with telewest bluyonder and there supposed to of upgraded it from 4mb to 10mb recently but to be honest I havnt noticed a change. I phoned them up and they told me to pull the cable out my modem and put it back in and then it should be upgraded but im still not sure if its faster.

How can I check? Ive been on a few sites that check the speed but when the results come in I dont realy know what im supposed to be looking at. Is there any simple way to find out?

Thanks

Hey, how are ya?

I use www.speakeasy.net... to test my speed. It's really reliable... and it's free

There are tons of them out there, but this is the best one I've found.

I have used the Yahoo speed test and found it the most reliable and accurate over the years, plus they are one of the giants in most servers in use which means a clean connection.

Pick a location near you: support.sbcglobal.net...

At DSL Reports there a numerous tests to help correct low speed and plenty of help:

speed test:www.dslreports.com...
tweak test: www.dslreports.com...

To ad to the others that have been mentioned you could try PcPitstop. Seems to work pretty well.
