Photogallery

Whenever i open 'My Videos' Folder, an installation wizard comes up for photogallery. i tryed everything i know and i cant get it to go away. Help anyone?

What exactly is 'Photogallery'?

I would check to see what applications your video files are associated with.

Sounds like they are associated with an application that has an installer on your computer, but not installed yet.

Have you ever used 'msconfig' ?

If not I can walk you through the steps to check and see if there is a process running at system startup, that looks for video files.

yeah ive used msconfig a few times. It may, as you said, got something to do with one of the videos on there (i got a few videos off of limewire but dont tell the RIAA) but im putting them on dvd's today so im going to delet them from my computer, maybe that will stop it. ill post back tonight and let you know. but thanks for the response anyways.

Oh yeah btw, i have no clue what photogallery, maybe it came with our new hp printer, photoshop cs, or fireworks, all of which ive just recently got.

If you don't want photogallery, check in the 'add or remove programs' in control panel.

there may be something you can remove... don't know for sure.

as for limewire, be careful what you download with p2p programs.

it is said to be one of the fastest ways of spreading viruses, spyware, etc.

have you done any virus and spyware scans lately? might be a good idea.
