No.

There is no need for any such person to torture themselves with those kinds of damaging anxieties.

It's that kind of misery that is the worst hell a human can be in--blame, regret, and all those futile negativities are the true source of the worst evil we know--reluctance to love God and others because we can't find a reason to love ourselves. It's a hell we put ourselves into--not God and not 'the devil.'

So we should all just quit worrying about it and instead worry about each other having enough to eat and what not. Thinking about others is the best way to get out of your own personal dungeon.

As the above scenario is worded it looks as though adultery is adultery and makes no difference to the circumstances,knowing he/she is married or not.There would not be too many who have not committed this(excluding the married priest scenario) before they married their partner or prospective partner imo.

If someone repents of a sin God forgives.
