May God have mercy on his soul, and comfort the family members who were affected by his atrocities. My question is, if he is excommunicated from the Catholic Church, does he in the church eyes still remain a priest?

No. If he's excommunicated, he is out of the church. If he is out of the church he can not by definition be a priest. What would probably happen officially is he will be defrocked (made not a priest) and then excommunicated only because teh defrocking is an easier process than an excommunciation.

The man was one of God's voices here on creation, and yet he crossed a line that was set in stone by God himself... If it was done in rage, or anger, or hatred ....well i'd not want to be in his position when he gets to have his face to face with the Lord Almighty.
