i just heard this on the news, and do not have any time to find links now, but i will find them and post them as soon as i can.

anyways, there is a bill which is supposed to be passed by president bush within the next two weeks or so. this bill will define what the u.s. will do in the occurance of a pandemic. this will define how the economy will be run, who will get the first vaccinations, etc.

now my question is, do you believe this is just a cautionary step, or is there some sort of engineered disease that will soon be released, in order to establish some sort of marshal law, or strenthening control in preperation for the nwo to take control?

Senate passes pandemic bill to help developing countries

The bill states that the United States should provide assistance to developing countries to acquire computer equipment, Internet technology and telephone-based applications to bridge the technology gap. Useful tools include geographic information system-based disease and syndrome surveillance systems.

This is supposed to help under developed countries have the ability to protect itself from a pandemic and help surpress one.

The bill authorizes the president to assist in enhancing the surveillance and reporting capabilities for the World Health Organization and other regional and international health networks. The president can also develop new networks as necessary.

So it doesn't have anything to do directly to the U.S. but rather indirectly as its designed to keep pandemics away from the U.S.

The US already has alot of this on the books. i suspect that this is a a publicity op type event. Plans already exist for this type of emergency as outlined in these threads I put up last year

Pandemic Influenza Preparedness and Response Plan (U.S.)

and

Managing An Influenza Outbreak: Homeland Security Presidential Directive/HSPD-5

They may be filling in more details, but I suspect this is sort of a 'Look at what we are doing exersize than any real change IMHO
