I've had pretty-much all the consoles/handhelds over the last twenty odd years, and this coming generation I am only intending to get one -- The
Revolution (hope they keep that name).
Reason:
The DS is the only games machine my mother & father have ever actually played with. Electroplakton for my mum and Sega Casino for my dad. They have
seen me and my sister playing games over the years, but never 'got' the push stick right moves so-and-so on screen right. The DS is different and
creates a more intuitive experience. This is through utilising a simple touch screen. The Revolution should be even more intuitive. Assuming
Nintendo do deliver on their intentions for the console, expect a similar situation to DS outselling the more powerful PSP.

BTW I am not a fanboy, just the DS has opened my eyes to how games could be, while my PSP sits on a shelf. I think that sums up my expectations of
the next generation consoles too.
