Humans are used as an energy source. Negative emotions are siphoned and used by negative energy beings.

As far as being eaten, the greys use human fluid (blood, etc.) as a food source. But they mostly grow humans in vats for that purpose. The abductions of the general population are mostly for more scientific purposes.

Seriously, there is no point in eating humans. Our life-cycle is too slow for food-breeding, and we probably dont taste any different than most other mammals.

Aliens don't eat us they want our organs so they can make a different type of hybrid. Same with cattle mutilations.
