No. How many? Which ones made a deal to get nuke tech in exchange for IAEA oversight, like Iran?

Not Israel, who haven't even admitted to having nukes, much less signed a NPT treaty.

Since they didn't sign the NPT, they clearly aren't bound by it. Just like North Korea.

But that's cool, because America is Israel's bitch.

And if iran wants to have the same protections, its just got to get on a leash too.

The proof of Irans nuclear program will be shown the day we or anyone elses attempts to invade or stifle their program, and Israel is turned into a parking lot. I feel if anything, that they are attmepting to draw us into a war that will finally alienate us from the middle east and could bankrupt America. Not to mention the reprisals here in America.

With help from many other countries, I feel that they have and will use it if it comes down to it.

No, how many?

However, contained even inside the recent United States protocol is the right for her to exclude sites and activities which are of direct national security significance when exercising the National Security Exclusion.

Iran (the topic of the thread) has no real exclusions and is not one of the NWS’s under the NNPT and is subject to inspection under her negociated safeguards protocol that she agreed to by signing the NPT in the first place.

No, Israel is not a signatory state to the NPT and she is outside the realm of the treaty... as are a few other contemporary declared nuclear weapon nations.

El Baradei says HE found no proof of a weapons programme in Iran, BUT then goes onto to say: "he cannot give the Islamic Republic a clean bill of health.?

Umm, the guy is a walking talking contradiction who is most astute at walking the diplomatic tightrope of "they may or they may not."

The man has not even arrived in Iran yet, and be assured, when he does, he will not gain 'one iota' of access to those Iranian underground nuclear program sites.

When Iran does finally declare and reveal that they have developed nuclear weapons, I hope that you and this UN clown are around for further conversation.

There is no contradiction as indeed nothing that constitutes as proof has been found but indeed there are suspicious things like finds of traces of HEU, insisting on possessing enrichment technology, keeping stuff secret and building facilities underground which means they can't be given a clean bill of health. And indeed they may or may not be having a military nuclear program. You nor the US has so far provided any conclusive evidence they do have a military nuclear program.

Bzzt wrong again, they froze them out in 2004 for 6 weeks. Now they just say hell with it and ripped the seals off, while secret installations remain secret and they still don't allow more intrusive inspections.

Insulting one another serves no logical purpose and only makes the arguement a matter of rhetoric, not rational thought. Thus people are then encouraged to only react emotively to the presenter of an arguement, rather than examine the evidence. So, the IAEA has already found the centrifuges a few weeks ago, but they had not yet been used. I would think that the news that is to be released would be the activation and the processing of the nuclear fuel. These are small steps that lead to the enrichment for nuclear weapons. He, the iranian president, would not be calling us enemies if this was for energy purposes.

Iran has announced that they have completed the cycle, meaning that they can enirch to at least 3.5% levels (not suitable for nukes, but shows that they have the ability).

Amhedinijad had been hinting for a while that this was going to be announced, for a few days anyway.

THe IAEA found that the devices which could've been used for this.....weren't used.

So does that mean that the iranians have secret installations where they have accomplished this, or can it be done in the time between the inspections and a day or so ago?

Is the IAEA inspecting the equipment now, to see what was used? Because that would be the smart thing to do.
