No,
Advisor but did find these interesting tidbits:

"Subject: Shape-Shifting Spacecraft"
Link:
groups.yahoo.com...

Excerpt:
"Subject :
[SO] A shape-shifting spacecraft

Date :
Sat, 11 Aug 2001

Investigator and forensic artist Bill McDonald has stated:

"Nearly all "BIOMORPHIC" aerospace designs were inspired by the Roswell
spacecraft, from Kelly's SR-71 Blackbird onward to today's drones, Caves,
and aerospace craft."

Has NASA now become privy to alien technology?

Alien aerospace craft have been observed changing shape in flight.
They have also been observed to have seamless surfaces.
Seems like a lot of science fiction, right?

Now in the September issue of Popular Mechanics under the
Technology Watch section we have science-fiction reality.

Here, in part, is what the article says:

"Science fiction movies that depict shape-shifting spacecraft
may not be far off the mark. NASA says that it is developing
"smart" materials that would enable future aerospace vehicles
to change shape in midflight."
(Note: I saw one change shape above the Hollywood Bowl in
Hollywood about 3 years ago)

..."NASA researchers hope to develop a seamless surface that
alters its shape in response to an electric current. The idea
has been successfully demonstrated with a rotor on a model
helicopter."
(Witnesses described how the hull of the Roswell craft
could be energized to change its shape)

"Eventually, NASA wants to build fully morphing space planes
that would change their configurations even more radically...
NASA says morphing aircraft could be flying as early as 2030."

Now all NASA needs is a little antigravity and they are ready to join
the galactic league of planets!

Executive Director
Skywatch International, Inc."

Seems tripod "nulled" the picture and the "Technology Watch article/story with picture, so here is the link:

When you have enough knowledge of physics then this is not difficult.

What impresses me more are the more biological looking craft that seem to be living entities.

All the lies and deceit are to keep the 1/3 rd of the population happy that such a thing could not be true.

As long as the middle 1/3 rd are unsure too about what is possible or what is out there then you have a majority of unbelievers.

Keeps the 1/3 rd enlightened ones under check.'

....Is how much money is squandered on tech that won't really help anyone but the select few.
If they came up with a method for teleportation to other planets tomorrow,a poor boy like me would never have the opportunity to use it unless he was going to war there,to steal the resources from the residents of that planet.

Seekerof & Advisor,

Morphing aero-spacecraft, 30 years from now?

Shape memory alloys and piezoelectrics, which contract or expand based on the application of electric current are currently being tested on uav's.

This thing is around the corner, not down the road....

The technology doesn't stop with shape shifting! Metal skins that can detect damage and "heal" themselves are also some of the major advances being researched. The question is, though, are we back-engineering someone else's tech?

Morphing spacecraft... makes me think of Robotech!

Hmm...well...hopefully they'll go civilian..so I can get a ride to Mars...maybe a summer vacation to Jupiter? Hmm...how about Pleidias(sp?)?

wow.....this technology is really pushing the frontiers.
This is great......imagine the possibilities.

Eventually we will all experience this technology in some kind of spin off usage if we are patient or live long enough.

Unfortunately most of it will be used for less than savory purposes it seems.

Why do we always have to think that aliens help us in some way etc.
Im not saying that we havent back enginered anything but dont underestimate our own potential as a species, it not our way!

Well, if you believe the story, the guy who developed the AC motor claimed he was given the information by aliens.

No offence, but our potential as a species has largely been to screw up the existence of other members of our own species and others! And also to be enslaved, conspired against or otherwise exploited...

I agree with you that we have untapped potential, and I do want to see it put to good use, like space exploration!

it seams to me,

our goverment's are keeping us as a speases back of what we truely can be.

we NEED to get off fuossel fuels. we NEED to advance. we NEED to learn how to be a part of the universal part of things

we NEED to seak help for canser, aids all the other inflections

they NEED to let us know!

Thank you for the u2u intelgurl and very interesting that you would say that. Question: DO you have a link or book name that you would refer to that I could read more about this? I would appreciate more info on this...seems very interesting and a "must read more" type... Thanks.

No problem Seekerof...
This happens to be something I am somewhat familiar with...

Check out DARPA's web site:
www.darpa.mil...

Popular Science did a good informative article on the subject:
www.popsci.com...

Aviation Week did a very nice article as well:
www.aviationnow.com...

And finally an article posted about Raytheon (my employer):
www.prnewswire.com.../www/story/04-23-2003/0001931761&EDATE=Apr+23,+2003

Hope this helps,
intelgurl

[p.s.: hope I'm not overposting on this thread]

Naaaahhhh....

A while ago I posted a massive pic of an RAF Lightning, which got deleted by one of the Admin guys (it was large enough to be a windows wallpaper). Post away, I for one would love to hear what one of Raytheon's little elves has to say (that's not classified of course!).

I noticed that Raytheon is also in on the Machete? If so, do you have any idea when a prototpe is due?

No idea, I would venture a guess and say that Stavatti hasn't gone much further than having a scaled down test version at best... but truthfully I have no accurate inside-the-industry information on the Machete or the F-26 and what stage of development they may be at.

Thank you intelgurl.....
I will make every effort this weekend to examine and read those interesting links and try to comment....
Much appreciation.
