lost halo cd key

Well im sure many of you have heard this before. on other sites and what not but yea.

I used to play halo allot and well i stopped for a few months. I found the disk after i had just cleaned my computer and wanted to install it, the trouble is that i lost my case and product key (why do people always lose it).Last time i got lucky because i found it, and i didn’t have to pay cheap arse Microsoft $10 for another cd key.

I just want to no is there any prgram that can well just scan the disk and retrieve my cd key, i no the people at Microsoft had it, how else could they find my cd key by scanning it off my computer...

Does anyone kno?
