are politicians a lifeform?

i am, of course, being sarcastic, but it does bring up a question that bears discussion - are politicians a lifeform?
i mean fungus growing in a perti dish is technically life, but a pol.? they gotta rank lower than fungus, right?


and what criteria do we use? if it eats, reproduces, and produces waste its gotta be alive, correct?

but what about a fire? it consumes fuel (eats), spreads (reproduces), and leaves soot and ash (produces waste), but it isn't a life form. so wher do politicians fit? hmmm...

actually, i'm not sure if this is funny or tragic?

i'm sure its off topic, though.
