The Ultimate System to Shoot Around Corners

The CORNER SHOT is the ultimate solution for dealing with the deadly threats that lurk "around the corner" in a variety of tactical situations encountered by military and law enforcement personnel, anti-terror units and SWAT teams operating in open or built-up areas, inside buildings, rooms and enclosed spaces, and especially in forced entry situations.

The CORNER SHOT has already been acquired by police and special forces units around the world.

The key to CORNER SHOT is the swing-hinge front section of the system, a state-of-the-art device that houses the handgun and a compact detachable color video camera. The unique lateral (both left and right) swinging mechanism enables the user to safely sweep, search or engage targets ?around the corner? with the camera transmitting what it sees directly to a video monitor. Both the video monitor and the remote trigger control for firing the pistol, together with all system operating switches, are fitted to the frame held by the user.

SHOOTING AROUND CORNERS

Conceived and designed by veteran counter-terrorism warfare specialists, the innovative CORNER SHOT is the outcome of a meticulous and thorough R&D process.

For the very first time, the CORNER SHOT offers a truly effective, state-of-the-art weapon system that may be deployed with deadly accuracy, at a lateral angle, from "around the corner", from behind a shelter, a cover or a barricade. The unique lateral traversing mechanism will not affect normal firearm performance.

SHOOTING FROM COVER

The CORNER SHOT may be employed to search spaces or engage targets "in the next room" or "down the street", with a high degree of accuracy, from "around the corner" or from a shelter, without exposing the user. It may be used to secure such openings as doors, windows and hatches with maximum effectiveness and minimum risk.

The CORNER SHOT may be adapted to fit most automatic handgun types currently in use.

Heh,

Actually Germans had as early as during ww2 these 'Krummlauf' devices for KAR 98 and MP 43/44 aka STG 44..

Krummlauf on STG 44.

The strange German Krummlauf MP-44 attachment.

Nice find, I've never seen that before.

I was thinking, wouldn't it have to trade firepower and accuracy for a peek around the corner?

Still, worth it.

I need one of those in rainbow six...

I guess the LCD screen is cool, but after a few shots, it seems the recoil would screw the screen bad. Also doesnt seem like it would be a very good urban assault weapon... screen would bust way too easy.

i was just thinking? sniper rifles with high end digital zoom?

as well as the optical zoom... wow be able to see stuff a long way away...

Now that would be solid... But, think if you were in the field... had your target in your sights at 3000x away... loving every second of your digital zoom... when...

bzzzz zzz... your battery dies

ive seen 1000X digital zoom camcorders with optical zooms too..

the fact that it could be lcd maybe it could have night vision themal ect build in too..

yea, I'm wondering why it hasn't really been done. It can't be that expensive. Maybe the military already has it...

Looks good, but I bet it feels strange having the recoil come at 90 degrees to what you'r used to.

is the manufacturer of this Acme ?

okay, I'll stop laughing now..

actually, I think this is pretty cool and when used by swat and the military, it will be very effective and save lives.

If its a pistol that makes the issue of a high zoom moot, though it would be nice on a more powerful rifle. I'd be interested to see if there will be any attchment, smoke/tear grenade launcher etc.

Wow obvious that it is a pistol.

Yet they could make it more like a rifle, just increase the length of the barrell.

Rifles are mostly barrels and stocks anyways.

This israeli DF is already using these...

I agree on several points-

1. Yes, good innovation. It will save lives.

2. Recoil will be bizzare and destabilzing to the user.

3. Pistol ranges mean zoom is moot.

Perhaps if the firearm was integral, it would be slightly more practical, along with some sort of recoil compensation (perhaps a foregrip?)

These are in use..

And that German Krummlauf (which has same basic idea..) was used in ww2, but this doesnt stop to there..

As first and most large scale use of systems similar to these was in ww1 back in 1914-1918..

These also systems enabled to the shooter to remain hiden..

That's gotta be one of the more stupid designs I've ever seen; Better hope your target is standing still! Imagine that thing with a .44 on it, the kick would break your wrists.

I wonder how many SWAT members would like to become immobilized just to shoot a pistol around a corner. The old mirror trick would seem to work better!
