The one BIG problem I have with the whole oil price hike is they're raising the price of gas that they didn't pay a higher price for but in anticipation of paying more. And the whole sham is legal. (the retailers price hasn't gone up yet since the higher per barrel cost won't hit for at least 3 months) That gas your pumpin was $50 a barrel and yet they charge at the $67 a barrel rate.
Is there nothing we can do?

Well...there was no holiday.

Nothing that I can think of to shove the gas prices up our wazoos...

Gas jumped more than 20 cents here.

It's at $2.79 right now here in Florida.

I'm paying around $1.30 a litre where I am in Australia. It just seemed to jump up overnight. It was around $1.18 or so a litre previously.

I'm wondering where this stops??

I heard on some tv news station that the reason for the gasoline price hike is because of ethanol production, something like the pipes and tanks have to be replaced. I couldnt find anything about it thats recent on the web. Ill bet its just another one of those coverups that the US government loves to do.

It went up 13 cents last week, and they say to expect another double digit price increase this week. Way to go gas cap law!
