The title of the thread sounds sensationalised. To put it in perspective they evacuated 853 people out of an aircraft in just 80 seconds and only 33
injuries, most of which were very minor (the only one mentioned is one broken leg).
Compared to a real evacuation from a Boeing 777 in Manchester, UK on 1st March 2005: 352 people evacuated, 23 injuries.
And...
Real evacuation of 452 people from a Boeing 747 at Colombo, Sri Lanka on 8th September 2005... one death (from evacuation attempt) and 19
hospitalisations (non-hospitalising injuries not recorded?).
The Airbus figures seem to be expected.
