How can I make external source Quoting like this :

Use these tags

[ ex ] and [/ ex ]

(without the spaces of course)

EXAMPLE:

[ ex ] Hello DeepBlue! [/ ex ]

becomes

Hello DeepBlue!

And if it's a news source, you use the [ news ] [ /news ] tags.

So you get:

Yes, the URL needs to be pasted within the 'ex' or 'news' tags.

I mean can I copy paste HTML code from a webpage and use it inside the Quotation, like:

html>
.
.
.
/html>

Nope, html is filtered out. You'll have to use bbcode

From that picture, the bit of the website in the external source box isn't 100% exactly like the originating website. It's just a copy and paste of the text from the external site (not more than 15% or three paras, whichever is less) plus a copy and paste of the image source within [ img ] tags.

It's just like any BBcode you would use to format your own posts, except you put the whole thing in the [ ex ] or [ news ] tags.

Here's an example I'm gonna do for this BBC news:

[ news ][ url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4830362.stm ]US soldier abused Iraq prisoners[ /url ]

[ imgl ]http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41469000/jpg/_41469008_smith_ap203bo.jpg[ /img ]A US army dog handler has been found guilty of abusing detainees in Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison in 2003-2004.

A Maryland court martial convicted Sgt Michael Smith on six out of 13 charges including maltreating detainees, dereliction of duty and assault.

Prosecutors said Smith, 24, used his black Belgian shepherd to menace prisoners for his own amusement. He will be sentenced on Wednesday. [ /news ]

After the spaces are removed, that becomes:



Does that make sense?

Yes, of course. What I meant was use 'ex' tags for external sources and 'news' tags for news sources.
