I cant believe they found a Yeti leg!! This is the biggest discovery of the new millenium!! Very exciting, I wonder if they will allow it to go on display here?

I bet even now there are teams scouring the area looking for the rest of the Yeti's remains!!

My guess: Bear.

It may be a mutation. I don't think it's a yeti.

mysteries of the worm

there is alink on this page to a forum discussion, the concesus of which is that it is definately a bear, and probably a boot[made from a bear's leg] with a human leg still in it. This isn't too tricky if you look at all the info available.

First of all euro size 36 is not large at all. Actually small for a man and probably average for a female human.

Do a DNA sample on the bone and then one on the hair, they only have to compare these results to humans, apes and bears.

If no close matches then the fun begins.

I am leaning towards the boot argument. But I still wish it was a yeti. sigh.....

going to wait and see on this...I mean, if its a boot, then why not say so, since it would be obvious? and yes, a 2000 year old boot made out of a bear leg would generate some news, and something more positive for the scientists involved than "more russian jokes." Dont you think?

The problem could just be of translation. The Russians fed the story to the BBC, who were the ones that added the whole Yeti angle. Note that the Russians say it is very human. They may have even said it was a boot, but that part got left off to make the story better. If you follow this thing around on the web, it sort of falls apart. It is clearly a boot, if you are familiar with the design.

The 'Yeti' paw:

A normal bear paw: (Google)

They look 100% alike, except for the missing pad. And thats a major thing actually...

That's a really good point that I hadn't even considered. Now it seems almost a certainty and I agree.

yea.it might be a fake.besides why would big foot just cut his limbs off like that?!!he would have died from beading and a body would have been found by now.people fake stuff like this for fame and to screw with true big foot believers.just remember people who study the paranormal and the unexplained aren't just a bunch of crazy people that believe in anything, they also disprove the frauds!
