So what do we do ? AKA the West over this, because basicly our so called great goverments cant seem to decide, as this is a threat to the west as a whole why The Usa and EU have diffrent ideas its just causing bickering.

perosnaly i cant see sanctions working and a Usa, possible USA/EU airstrike is gona put both china and Russia's noses out of joint, so why not let the Russia and China know what we intend to do offering them some sort of deal to bring them round on the idea.

Actually, there is much to be said about bickering.

It's when we agree on everything that the world is not safe.

While I can't prove it, I suspect that much of the public posturing is little more than that, and the real horse trading is going on behind closed doors.

That was the deal with Iraq, and apparently France and Germany didn't like the way the numbers added up and opposed the deal.

Frankly, I'm not sure I feel better about the US, EU, Russia and China getting together to decide how to carve up South Asia than I do about the idea that they're wrestling over it.

But however it may be, there's no doubt that South Asia will come under the control of some form of hegemony or another.

At this point, it's mainly a question of what brand, and the U.S. has stepped up to the plate.

But it's unclear as to whether the U.S. is up to the task.

Hence the ongoing drama.

Personaly with all the extreamists doing what there doing and there idiot of a leader, id fell a lot safer if it was to happen aslong as it was done correctly and the population wasnt misstreated, but then again there not gona sit by and do as there told regardless of there dangerous goverment.
perhaps im being a fantasist, but it would make the world a safer place.

I think with the uk moving troops out of N ireland

The uk is more likely to send more troops to iraq, to free up the us for their war (isreals war who determine us policy) in Iran.
www.lrb.co.uk...
The Iranians will probably attack basra or such like which will then allow the British to attack the iranians along with the Bush war mongers!!who no doubt will be safe in their bunker in some mountain in colorado whilst joe bloggs is dodging bullets!!

I too have a problem with the source not the link but the author. At the bottom of the page it reads.

"Patrick Seale is a commentator and author of several books on Middle East affairs", which makes it an Op/ed since is is not a reporter. No wonder he left out all the names.

Then we have another source that has it under the Op/ed Section

Op/ed

Rumors and Gossip nothing more.
