It seems to me that a lot of legislation and law practices nowadays seem to undermine the traditional perception of what personal responsibility is. People are encouraged to lay blame anywhere but themselves.

This gives the Government an IN to the personal lives of every american... if they don't want to be personally responsible for what they do, then whose fault is it and who is going to fix it? Many times, people resort to Government Legislation, such as in recent attacks upon video games or the many years of ridiculous litigations involving fast food (McDonald's & Coffee Cup Warnings).

Who here feels that there is some sort of conspiracy to undermine personal responsibility in favor of leveraging more power for the government to involve itself in our lives and become more invasive in public business practices?

I've lost track of all the basic, common sence, existing laws that 'they' REFUSE to enforce, untill there is a demand for "tougher laws", which they then quickly and oh so happily, trot out in all their complex and unjust glory.

Example; if the Lebonese Gangs had have been cracked down on 20 years ago, like the Asian gangs were, Sydney wouldn't have exploded like it did and we wouldn't have so many demanding the deportation of any they feel 'don't fit in'.

But hey, double bonus for our Leaders, now folk have stopped complaining about all those already illegally deported, and children 'detained' behind razor wire for years.
