Camera Suggestions

Once i like photgraphy, I have been considering opening my wallet and actullay buy something worth taking pictures with, not pune intent to my long time companions "disposible Kodaks".

Soooo....I would like to ask all the photgraphy appreciators out there, what cameras they think are the best ath this momnet... Digital or not.

P.S. - A good Zoom is required !! benn stalking this crow in my backyard... and I WILL GET HIM !
