After the Cuban missile crisis both superpowers experienced the horror of a possible nuclear catastrophe and mutual side wish the scenario do not
happen twice.
Especially since the creation of communist China counterweigh the balance of power in the Asian region, triangular diplomacy emerged. US had the
ping-pong diplomacy with China. Also there were numerous back-channel negotiations between the three powers.
My question is how did the diplomacy and emergence of Communist China change the Cold war? I need some learnt historians insight and opinion on this.
Thanks.
