Belgium loses Terror Suspect Fehriye Erdal

Fehriye Erdal, a Turkish Leftist Activist belonging to a group called DHKP-C has escaped justice the day after she was convicted to 4 years
inprisonment for crimes commited on Belgian soil. DHKP-C is a group classified as Terrorists by the European Union and they are suspected of murdering
a Turkish Bussinesman in retaliation of one of their group members being assassinated in a Turkish jail.
The DHKP-C is a turkish seperatist movement active in Turkey. They are not international terrorists. Erdal worked at the building this bussinesman was murdered in and is suspected of providing access to this building during the murder plot. However, Turkey was unable/unwilling to provide any kind of proof towards her involvement, apart from her working there. If they had come forward with some kind of evidence, Erdal would at least have been detained and an exception to the extradition rules could have been made.

Yesterday, Belgium's Bruges Criminal Court sentenced terrorist Fehriye Erdal to four years in prison on charges of the crimes she committed in this country.
Developments regarding Erdal are causing discussions and panic among Belgian ministries and institutions. The Belgian Interior Ministry, which is responsible for keeping an eye on the house where Erdal was being detained, does not comment on questions regarding this matter. The Belgian Interior Ministry spokesman suggests journalists to ask their questions regarding this matter to the Belgian Justice Ministry.
On the other hand, Belgian Justice Minister Laurette Onkelinx's office says that ''Fehriye Erdal is wanted, and an international search and arrest warrant has been issued''. But, Onkelinx's office does not give further information.

Erdal was housed in a safehouse for the last 5 years because Turkey and other parties put a price on her head, this directly led to her escape.
Turkey wouldn't come forward with evidence of her involvement of the murder of the bussinesman in Turkey and wouldn't officialy press charges in Belgium. It can't extradite someone to Turkey because of their support for the Death Penalty, but Belgium can however put someone on Trial for what happend in another country and has done so with Terror suspects several times before. This would have led to her immediate arrest years ago and she would have been rotting in a belgian Jail since then.
