One of man's greatest puzzles is why are we here and what is our purpose in life? Is it so necessary that there must be some greater goal out there that we are all working towards? Is it not possibly that our purpose here is not to act as a stepping stone to another existence or life, but simply to experience THIS life? To explore all the peaks and troughs that THIS life has to offer and take advantage of our opportunities to realise the potential within us? Why isn't this enough? The whole purpose may just be the journey, rather than the destination.

Exactly. Live life, its all we have.

This problem is discussed in the book "What's it all about? Philosophy and the meaning of life" by Julian Baggini.

True. It's seems there is enough on offer in this existence without having to constantly analyse why.
