Herein, I present unto you the masses a thread for the perusal of and the entertainment of those most annoying and endearing fellows and ladies which I count myself amongst...

The spelling and grammar nazis.

Thusly, let us start the games...

Perfect: The state at which a thing cannot be improved upon.

Prefect: A character popularized by the late Douglas Adams.

* * *

(Yes, I know, it's technically a typo... but it happens so often!)

Rogue: An individual of questionable integrity and moral practices.

Rouge: A form of makeup applied to the cheeks to provide artificial blush.

* * *

Thief: One who acquires goods at their leisure without paying the respective costs associated thereof.

Theif: I don't think this is a word, nor has it ever been.

* * *

So, feel free to add words to this topic... words you encounter ALL the time being mis-spelled.

Got a couple more!

Believe: The act of accepting something as true.

Beleive: A common misspelling that even I am guilty of.

- - -

Consciousness: What makes a human self aware.

Conciousness: Another misspelling that I am guilty of.
