If consciousness is related to fundamental properties of the universe (as is suggested by pan-experiential philosophical approaches and Orch OR), then where/when/how did consciousness or its precursors originate? Italian cosmologist Paola Zizzi of the University of Padua has a novel idea.

While some may claim that Science does not take the idea of God worthy of investigation, the attached states otherwise.

Any thoughts?

science has always suported gods possible existance, only certain disciplines think god can't exist, philosophy has always been looking at this topic it's nothing new, and philosophy is science

I apologize for not having much to contribute to this thread..lol

The title of this thread reminded me of a 1980 film called "Altered States"...Extremely strange movie!

Please note: This is not a recommendation, proceed with caution.

I remember that movie Bangin the leader of a project which records memories and makes it possible for others to see them with a device, records her own
death.

The self-reduction of the superposed quantum state is consistent with the Penrose's Objective Reduction (OR) model. The quantum gravity threshold is reached at the end of inflation, and corresponds to a superposed state of 109 quantum registers. This is also the number of superposed tubulins-qubits in our brain, which undergo the Penrose-Hameroff Orchestrated Objective Reduction, (Orch OR), leading to a conscious event. Then, an analogy naturally arises between the very early quantum computing universe, and our mind.

Did you guys really need to look at the PDF files? Did you familiarize yourselves which the basis for the work? This concept really is a step above simple philosophy.

For the record this site and its contents are related to works of Dr. Stewart Hamerhoff and Sir Roger Penrose who currently heads the Physics Department at Oxford.

For a more comprehensive referrence
to the fundementals upon which this is based see attached....
