Iran Blames US-Israel For Mosque Bombings In Iraq

Referring to the U.S.-led occupation forces in Iraq, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a crowd in southwestern Iran: "They invade the shrine and bomb there because they oppose God and justice,"

"These passive activities are the acts of a group of defeated Zionists and occupiers who intended to hit our emotions," he said.

Addressing the United States, he added: "You have to know that such an act will not save you from the anger of Muslim nations."

Of course many were going to believe some grand conspiracy theory on the Mosque Bombings, but who would think that the Iranian prez would come out and say it?

Incitment on both sides is way out of control recently.

Who would have thought it would have taken so long for him to blame the US? His allegations are to be expected, and are designed to take the spotlight away from him and his own terroristic involvement.

He is a windbag who makes a different accusation of the US each week in order to incite them to retaliate violently so that he can justify his pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Iran stands the gain the most from any such chaos. Iran had the means and Motive to carry out such attack. Its not even the first time they have bombed Iraq. They bombed a Iraq university among other things before the start of the Iran-Iraq war.

Irans leaders seem to view a democratic iraq as a grave threat. IMO Irans leaders fear that if Iraq becomes a democracy the people of Iran will demand simlia freedoms. Instead of going the way of North Korea Irans leaders are using tribal loyalities in an attempted to tip the balance of power in there favour.

Perhaps a few stray bombs could land on Irans side of the border. Of course targets would have to be choosen carefully in order to get the most out of the "stray" bombings.

Him saying that falls into place with my thoughts; he might be behind the Iraqi mess so that we are too tied down to pay attention to him. Him saying this is just fuel on the fire for those in the region who are already primed to buy that to be true.

Oh please, in case you haven't been paying attention Iran's Prez would like to wipe Isreal off the face of the earth. The only thing about this accusation is he didn't make it sooner. How do you figure Bush and the so-called Zionists have anything to gain by Iraq's civil discord? And by the by who exactly are the Zionists?

The Zionist have nothing to gain, and neither does America. I'm sorry, but this makes no sense to me. To say that we want Arabs to kill Arabs makes no sense, other than to insinuate racism at its extremist degree, and there is no rational reason to believe this to be true.

Rationally speaking, there is a couple good reasons to suspect local culprits, though. I believe I mentioned one.

Another reason is to insure that the country is in such a mess that maybe the West will leave the Iraqis totheir own devices, or to allow Sharia rule to take over so that discipline is restored and we can leave. Democracy does not fit in the Islamic way, it is not the way of Sharia law, and the Jihadists want us gone and Sharia law in place.
